Last Saturday the Hub had some very special guests for the first ever SkyRide in the North-East region.
The Hub was one of the main activity points for the event, with lots going on including a Skills track laid on by Saddle Skedaddle. The ride attracted thousands of cyclists of all ages and abilities, including Radio and TV presenter Edith Bowman as well as track cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy.
Thankfully the sun shone and it was a brilliant day – probably the Hub’s busiest ever! Click here to see more photo’s from the day.
The SkyRide is just one way that you can get more involved locally within cycling. As well as their SkyRide locals they also have ‘buddy’ rides which you can find online like our monthly Social and Road rides (first Saturday and last Sunday respectively) led by two qualified SkyRide leaders.
Last year Sky and British Cycling beat their target of getting a million people in the UK on their bike once a month. Click here to find your nearest ride.
