We’re pleased to announce that we will be starting maintenance courses at The Cycle Hub in the New Year. Whether you’re a beginner who wants to know the basics or you are ready to learn how to service your own bike we have the course for you.
Beginners course £25
This 3 hour course covers basic maintenance topics such as puncture repair, tyre choice, cleaning your bike, gear indexing and brake set up. It’s aimed to give you confidence when you’re out riding and enable you to solve minor mechanical problems that can happen. This is a hands on course so you will practice on your own bike (please ensure it is clean) and have time throughout to ask any questions.
The price also includes tea, coffee and biscuits.
We will be running this course on two separate dates – Saturday 19th January (10.00am – 1.00pm) and Saturday 16th March (10.00am – 1.00pm). These are limited to 8 places so book on early if you’re interested!
Service, Strip and Build Course £70
This course runs over 6 hours and is aimed at people who can replace an inner tube and know their way around the parts of their bike. It will teach you how to replace gear and brake cables, upgrade components and potentially save you some costly trips to the bike workshop.
You will be provided with a bike stand and the necessary tools so that you can work on your own bike (please ensure it is clean when you bring it along)
The price includes tea, coffee, sandwich and a cake.
This course will run on Saturday 16th February (10.00am – 4.00pm)
Booking is essential for these courses, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a ring on 0191 2767250 to book your place.
