Calling all artistic creative types, we have a competition for you! Originally an idea to celebrate the Tour de CENSORED coming to Yorkshire for the first time, the cycle HUB and Saddle Skedaddle teamed up with Muro Buro to curate a design competition which will form part of the Late Shows on 16 – 17 May 2014.
What, you ask, exactly is ‘Tour de CENSORED’? Well, our witty (maybe a little cheeky) response to the banning of the use of the words, ‘Tour de France’, Grand Depart’ and ‘Le tour’ for any kind of promotional material for the company. Thus, Tour De CENSORED was born; a poster competition promoting and celebrating the infamous French cycle ride, which, in its 101st tour, will host its first stage in Yorkshire, later this year.
The competition is open to all UK residents aged 16 and over and designs can be based around anything Tour de CENSORED/Yorkshire Grand CENSORED related. As long as your design can be finally printed and framed to the size of 420x594mm (A2 portrait) the sky is your limit – the wackier the better.
What’s in it for you? The best 14 entries will be printed and displayed in The Cycle Hub as an exhibition, forming part of Newcastle’s cultural Late Show’s, taking place between 16-17 May, 2014.
If you fancy giving it a go and dazzling us with your creative skills, the deadline for entries is Friday 2 May, 2014.
