This family cycling fun day will be full of activities and entertainment and Sustrans will be leading a Fresh Air Miles ride to showcase the new route, so bring your bike and register on the day!

Cycling stuff includes bike maintenance sessions, a cycle smoothie maker, virtual bike racing, stunt cyclists, BMX track sessions. But iIt’s not all about the bike and other activities include treasure hunts,  bouncy castle and face painting, promotional stalls and information.

For the under 16’s there is also grass track racing ….vroom vroom…. from 12 till 2:30 – just bring a bike, helmet, drink and £2.50 for coaching and race entry.

Bedlington and Blyth are on the Coast and Castles route ( a route that our neighbours Saddle Skedaddle cycling holidays run ) have recently benefited from Sustrans’ lottery-funded project to extend the National Cycle Network into the heart of thousands of communities across the UK. The new network of cycling and walking paths links the east and west sides of Bedlington, alongside the River Blyth to the south and through Gallagher Park to the north.
