A new community cycling centre is the latest business to launch in the rapidly regenerating Ouseburn Valley.
The Cycle Hub is a centre for cycling enthusiasts to hire and buy bikes, stop for a brew, and get repairs done, all in the same building.
Staff at the centre also offer advice on a number of topics from cycling holidays to bike maintanence tips.
The Cycle Hub is the latest addition to the Ouseburn and Byker business community, which includes a number of pubs and businesses from The Free Trade Inn to xsite Architecture.
Its launch closely follows the opening of the Ouseburn Coffee Company - a micro-roastery operating from Foundry Lane.
The Cycle Hub director Andrew Straw said: “We’re excited about being in the Ouseburn, it’s the coolest place in Newcastle without a shadow of a doubt.
“It’s changed massivley, but it’s always had a great feel and a community aspect to it… It’s exciting times.”
