The Curlew Cup sponsored by Northumberland National Park, will take place on Sunday 30th June in the morning and will precede the Beaumont Trophy in the afternoon.
The race will be based around the village of Stamfordham which successfully hosted the first edition of the Curlew Cup in 2012 and the final laps of the 2011 Womens National Championships. Ourselves and Skedaddle will be based on the village green in Stamfordham so pop down and see us if you’re there!
Competitors will complete 4 laps of the 13.9 miles circuit making a total distance of 55.6 miles. This circuit does not include the climb of the Ryals but does have a testing drag up through Wallridge and on towards Ingoe. The race will pass through the villages of Matfen and Stamfordham 4 times before finishing in Stamfordham at the end of the 4th lap.The race will start and finish in Stamfordham and there will be KOM, Points and U23 Competitions. The total prize fund is expected to be £2000.
